According to a report by Mac Rumors , Apple has also released a new beta of iTunes 10.5 as well as a preview version of Xcode 4.2 that is designed to support the latest iOS firmware. The report goes on to state that Apple has disabled Nike+ syncing with the latest beta version of iTunes for iOS 5 users. A report by TiPB claims that the existing jailbreak tools such as Redsn0w on Macs and Sn0wbreeze on Windows work with iOS 5 beta 6. Other details regarding the latest iOS are pretty slim. Those with an Apple developer’s ID can let us know if there are any other improvements.
Apple is expected to release iOS 5 for existing hardware around the time of the iPhone 5 launch, with rumors for the debut now coalescing around early October.
Apple has also pushed out iWork for iOS beta 2 and a new “beta 5″ of the Apple TV software.
As noted by It’s All Tech, Apple on the Mac side has pushed out a new developer seed of OS X 10.7.2 (Build 11C40), iCloud for OS X Lion beta 8, and a new build of Safari 5.1.1, all to be used for testing out iCloud.
iLounge notes that Apple appears to have disabled Nike+ syncing through iTunes for iOS 5 users with the new beta, forcing them to use the wireless syncing option that debuted in iOS 4.1.
An official version of iOS 5 is expected to release alongside the next generation iPhone and it should be compatible for those using present generation iOS devices as well.
